So, today we are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Yeah, we changed a bit from that picture. More gray hair (and a bit more of us as well)!

After much consideration about what wonderful thing we wanted to do, we wanted to go on this Caravan! So, that is a big part of it.
But our best times are with family so…we are celebrating by going out to dinner with our local family. That’s our son Andy, his wife Rita and two of their three children, Trevon and Peyton, their older daughter, Madyson is in Oregon. Also, we’ll be with our son Charlie and his wife Kristina and their two children, Abby and Will. Daughter Sarah and husband Jerome live in Port Orchard, Washington so we’ll catch them at the other end of the trip.
And a great time was had by all. We went to Bottega in Yontville which is a wonderful Michael Chiarello Italian Restaurant. The wait staff was attentive, the end of our long table was near the kitchen entrance so there was occasionally pretty heavy traffic coming and going. Food was amazing and the youth in our midst ate an amazing array of foods that were new to them, including grilled octopus in a salad and a pretty hefty Tomahawk Steak. Everyone was dressed nicely and on their best behavior we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
