So, we start our journey in St. Joseph which was an altenate starting point for man of the wagon trains that ventured across the prairie.

Of course, today we are dealing with little things. Washing machines were all in use at the camp facilities, so I did a small amount of wash by hand. It’s drying on the picnic table because it is pretty hot outside and no one likes the look of a clothesline (ruins the pictures of all the Airstreams). Well, it is almost dry…
Now, doing the wash in the sink wasn’t a great task, but when I opened the drawer underneath to put a glass away, I discovered water in the drawer. I did make a mess of water when I was washing the clothes, but not that much. Turns out the drain to the sink had come unscrewed and was spewing water everywhere. How hard is that to fix? Well, you have to take everything out of the drawer, get the drawer dried, lay on the floor to unscrew and rescrew the drain and then, put everything back together. Certainly more work than we desired.
Then the closet had one door that would clip closed. Turns out a single screw had escaped and the latch was rotating around the remaining screw. Not wanting to pick up everything that lives in the closet when we make our first turn moving on, we had to run and find a single small screw to put it back. That tiny screw was 10 miles away.
